Pieces (Orchestral Version)

“Somehow you shut down all the chatter, but you were the only one to speak.”

Man, I was in a dark place when this one was written. My time as an Army-sponsored artist was not all the glamour and fun that it seemed. Though the music and lyrics were all mine, it was constantly put through a censored, convoluted narrative that I was not on board with. But because I was an active-duty Soldier during that time, I didn’t have a voice. I was silenced, muzzled even. And “Pieces” was born.
