Find Your Way (Orchestral Version)
“Open your eyes. Time to pick a path, take off the blindfold. Step into another day, you’re moving on
and boy, does it show.”
When I first listened to the final master of this song, I was just moved. I couldn’t believe that this song, now over 10 years old, could still speak to exactly where I am now… pleading with myself to find a true sense of self - and to be that ‘self’ with no holds barred. Unapologetically me. I had no idea what path I would be taking to find my way.
I spent the next ten years pursuing my music career, leaving the Army to do it full-time and then ending right back up in the Army in my sponsored artist position. There were endless naysayers along the way, from my own family to the higher-ups in the U.S. Army. I battled depression, anxiety, the stigmas of both being Soldier AND being a rock artist… all the way to the ranks in Washington, D.C. Would I change it all?
Of course not. ‘Cause then I would’ve never… found my way. 😉
